A doula (do-la) is an experienced care provider who supports you and your family in the exciting, but often hectic, first weeks or months after your baby is born. As a Postpartum Doula I provide in-home, non-medical support to the whole family. I can help with breastfeeding, newborn care, nursery organization, laundry, cooking, errands etc.
If you’re a first-time mother, a doula is a comforting presence and a non-judgmental "mother’s mentor." I can help answer questions regarding infant care and offer tips and tricks for feeding, bathing, clothing and soothing your baby. First-time parents often find that a doula can quickly build their confidence as new parents... and second-time parents appreciate an extra pair of hands!
